FCC LPFM San Diego Window Applicants – December 2024 Update

In late November, the FCC approved the Construction Permit for the Social Justice Advocates application at 106.1 MHz.

La Jolla, 94.5 MHz – Facility ID 788739 – La Jolla Community Radio Service – REC Networks considered this a “Junk Application” (XHA Tijuana co-channel, 0% chance of success), but the FCC surprisingly approved its Construction Permit on June 21, 2024, even with co-channel XHA-FM only 26 miles away. Note that reception of this signal may be impossible in the presence of the powerful 94.1 and 94.9 MHz signals only two miles away and co-channel 94.5 MHz signal from Tijuana.

San Diego, 95.3 MHz – Facility ID 788753 – Prophet WorldBeat Productions – RECNetwork classified this as a “Junk Application/Application of Concern” – FCC Dismissed April 26, 2024 due to co-channel spacing violation with XHATE 95.3 Tecate.

San Diego, 96.9 MHz – Facility ID 787937 – Labors Training and Community Development Alliance – Transmitter in National City near I-5 and SR-54 junction. Approved for consideration among the group of three MX Group 19 applicants for this channel. Still pending as of 11/25/2024.

San Diego, 96.9 MHz – Facility ID 785879 – Football Camp for Kids. Transmitter in National City near I-5 and SR-54 junction. Approved for consideration among the group of three applicants for this channel. Still pending as of 11/25/2024.

San Diego, 96.9 MHz – Facility ID 788332 – Justice Overcoming Boundaries in San Diego County. Transmitter at Bonita Long Canyon Park. Approved for consideration among the group of three MX Group 19 applicants for this channel. Still pending as of 11/25/2024.

San Diego, 106.1 MHz – Facility ID 788757 – Social Justice Advocates. Transmitter at Bacon and Lotus Sts. in Ocean Beach. The FCC approved the application with amendments on November 21, 2024 after informal objections by Albert Adam David were dismissed.
