Chapter 36 in San Diego follows these guidelines:

Newsletter Subscriber List – SBE Chapter 36 maintains a list of subscribers to our newsletter on a third-party service, Mailchimp.com, where our newsletters are edited. We do not sell our newsletter subscriber list to sponsors or third parties. When you subscribe, your address is kept on a secure server with Mailchimp, but we cannot warrant the security of their servers against malicious parties.

Meeting Roll Sheets – The list of meeting attendees is often shared with the presenter at that meeting to help justify the costs associated with presentations, including the meals they may provide. Your contact information is not required on the roll sheet, though it helps the SBE evaluate participation in its chapters.

SBE Membership Information – The Society of Broadcast Engineers national office in Indianapolis keeps a database of members. Chapter 36 has no control over the administration of the national database and assumes no liability for its use.
