June 21, 2000 MeetingAudemat Will Have You Looking for ChangeBy Randy Phillips, CSTE At our June meeting, Dan Rau of Audemat, Inc will present a program on the MC-3 series of Mobile Dynamic Field Strength Meters/Modulation Monitors. The Audemat MC-3 is a dynamic, mobile RF field strength meter that can automatically monitor and measure up to 99 stations simultaneously. Ease of operation and user-friendly ergonomics has made the MC3 the recognized standard by broadcast networks and regulating organizations around the world. Available in AM, FM and TV audio configurations, the MC3 Series allows the user to monitor and analyze multiple signals and display the results for analysis. Besides being a dynamic mobile field strength meter the MC-3 is also a complete modulation monitor that allows engineers to analyze every important aspect of their broadcast signal including the audio! There is even a mode that allows the user to analyze the off air signal against what is coming out of the studio. This "split" mode is valuable in determining strengths or weaknesses in the air chain. The MC-3 is the standard measurement and monitoring equipment for every broadcast regulating body in Europe and it is used by hundreds of stations and groups to make sure their broadcast signal covers the best, is the loudest, has the best quality and is legal to avoid costly fines. Audemat has been serving broadcast professionals for over 20 years with "Dynamic Mobile Radio Measurement Systems" and world-class RBDS and DARC encoders.
