Scala Changes NameKathrein Inc. PR Release Scala Electronic Corporation has changed its name to Kathrein Inc., Scala Division. In announcing the name change, company president Manfred Muenzel explained, "Our association with the Kathrein group of companies began in 1985 when we started distributing certain Kathrein cellular antenna products. Since then, our ties have strengthened and today we manufacture many antenna products that had their origins with Kathrein but were re-developed by us for the NAFTA market." Muenzel further stated that the name change would not affect the reputation for excellent customer service that Scala is noted for and that long time Scala customers would scarcely notice the change. Kathrein-Werke KG, based in Germany, develops and markets mobile and base station telecommunications equipment, including a complete line of antennas, duplexers and multicouplers as well as an extensive array of antennas and combiners for broadcast TV and FM. Kathrein Inc., Scala Division will continue to specialize in design and application engineering, the manufacturing of their complete line of antenna systems including duplexers and filters, and follow-up service and support.
