March Meeting

The FCC Visits Jacor--and You're Invited!

When June Butler of the San Diego FCC office contacted us about showing one of its monitoring vans, we jumped at the chance.

When we brought up the meeting idea, Kevin Douglass of Jacor similarly jumped at the chance to host it.

This vehicle is the EMU--Electronic Monitoring Unit--previously shown at the NAB and other locations. We don't have a lot of information about what the van contains, but we promise you'll learn something if you come to give it a good looking over. This van is not the undercover unit described in a recent letter by Marv Collins of KFI.

At this time, the meeting is scheduled for March 17. We'll have van viewing, pizza, and social hour at 6 PM, chapter meeting at 7:30. Meet us at Jacor's Kearny Villa facility.

DIRECTIONS: Take Highway 163 to Clairemont Mesa Blvd and go east. The first stop light is Kearny Villa Road. Make a left (north) and drive about a mile until you reach 5745 Kearny Villa Road, Suite M. Jacor is in a business park at the far end of the park on the left side of the two rows of buildings. You can park anywhere there's room except in the fire lanes.
